Dr Ana Flavia Magalhaes Pinto Joins PAHM Curatorial Board & Academic Council

Historian and academic Ana Flávia Magalhães Pinto, PhD, has taken office as the new director-general of the National Archives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The first black woman to hold the position, she is responsible for valuing and promoting the diversity of the collection, in addition to making access to the institution, created 185 years ago, more transparent.
