The Pan African Heritage Museum is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its Annual Conference 2026, themed:

Reclaiming Heritage: Pathways to Restitution & Renewal

The conference will bring together museum professionals, researchers, academics, policymakers, legal experts, cultural practitioners, artists, heritage specialists, students, and members of the African diaspora to explore the future of African museums and the pathways from restitution to renewal.

Participants will engage in discussions on restitution and repatriation, decolonising museum practices, heritage preservation, digital technologies, community participation, museum communication, and the role of museums in Africa’s cultural and economic future.

Both in-person and virtual participation will be available.
