In collaboration with the Pan African Historical Theatre Festival (PANAFEST) and PANAFRICA-GHANA, the Pan African Heritage Museum seeks to position the festival as a cornerstone for cultural diplomacy and exchange, education, and the promotion of African unity
The festival’s theme, ‘Our Own Stories Shape Our Future‘, underscores the importance of owning and sharing the authentic stories of African peoples to reshape perceptions and build a collective future rooted in cultural grounding and pride, innovation and building and expanding bridges between the African continent and its global Diaspora
Key Components of the Festival include:
Exhibitions: The festival will host diverse exhibitions that highlight the past, present and future of Africa and the global African Diaspora. Themes of the exhibition will include African Heritage, Art Gallery, Fashion, King and Queens and Inventors and Innovators.
Conferences and Panel Discussions: Intellectual engagement of academics and practitioners will be a key aspect of the festival.
Performances and Cultural Display: Traditional and modern African music, dance, and theatrical performances. Vibrant performances will include Dancers, Masqueraders, Musicians, Brass Band and Storytellers.
Youth Innovation Showcases: A platform spotlighting emerging African talent in technology, science, and entrepreneurship.
This festival serves as a movement to reshape Africa’s global narrative, foster cultural exchange, and inspire the next generation. Attendees can look forward to engaging conversations, vibrant performances, and unparalleled networking opportunities.
Submission of Proposals and Guidelines
Proposals are encouraged to address the various key objectives as outlined above.
Proposals should clearly articulate the objective area/focus, proposed presentation modality (in-person or virtual), and relevance to the overall conference theme.
Submissions should include a brief bio of the presenter(s) and contact information.
