PAHM CEO Visits Miami to Preview Artworks for Pomadze Museum

Press Release

In January 2026, Professor Pashington Obeng, CEO of the Pan-African Heritage Museum (PAHM), visited Miami, Florida to view a selection of artworks and heritage objects destined for the museum’s permanent collection.
He was received by Chief Curator and Digital Consultant Dr. Babacar Mbow, who guided him through the collection of African and African Diaspora artifacts currently held in Miami. The items, representing just a portion of the broader collection being assembled, are ready to be shipped to the Pomadze museum site once construction of the facility is complete.

The visit represents a key step in PAHM’s progress toward establishing an institution dedicated to preserving and sharing African and diaspora stories. These objects will form part of a well-curated collection, designed to showcase Africa’s heritage in ways that are authentic and told from an Afro-centric perspective.
