4th Pan-African Heritage World Museum (PAHWM) Conference, centred on the theme:

” Sharing Pan-African Truths: Narratives of Creativity, Imagination and Resistance” with sub-themes including:

Historical Narratives: Reflecting on retention, transformations, exchanges, and commonalities across Continental, Diasporan, and Pan-African contexts.

 

  • Visual Narratives: Investigating the role of paintings, films, graphics, photographs, symbols, and other visual mediums in portraying and perpetuating African narratives.
  • Performative Narratives: Showcasing the expressive arts such as music, dance, drama, and readings as embodiments of cultural expression and resistance.
  • Social Narratives: Examining familial, organizational, institutional, and ritual narratives, alongside philosophical, spiritual, and culinary traditions.
  • Political Narratives: Analysing governance systems, sovereignty movements, Pan-African models, leadership dynamics, and peace initiatives.
  • Resistance Narratives: Highlighting struggles for freedom, justice, equality, reparations, and security across various realms of African life.

 

Join us at the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in Accra, Ghana from September 15th to 18th, 2024, for a hybrid conference that combines in-person and virtual participation.

 

In-person participation costs $25 while virtual participation costs $15.
